Can't find wxWidgets configs

Hello!

Please, can you help me?

It's my fist time installing SooperLooper and I'm having a hard time... I'm trying to install it in a Xubuntu distr, hoping to get a better performance.

When I ./configure looks like he can find almost everything. But it can't find wxgtk configs.

I tried installing everything of wxwidgets/gtk but with no success... Maybe I'm missing something.

Oh, and also, when I 'make' it shows a lot of "conversion to string 'char*' is deprecated" for pix image something.

You probably need to install the wxGTK-dev package. I'm not entirely sure of the exact name for Ubuntu.

Did the configure step actually finish without error? If so, did the compile step (running make) have an error? If so, you need to post the entire output of make for me to see it.

but I just discovered that sooperlooper is already installed in my ubuntu!!!

I still can't ./configure and also 'make' shows a lot of deprecated conversions... but it probably was installed when I downloaded Ubuntu Studio package through Synaptic Package Manager.

Synaptic shows as 1.0.8c-3.1ubuntu1 version (don't know which true SL version it is...)

Well, it's running! but when I try to record from microphone, it's all silence. This must be some misconfiguration...

Tomorrow I will try to get it working.

1.0.8 is an ancient version, that for some reason distros tend to use.

You probably do want to get the latest version compiled if you can, as I can't support that old version.

OK, your version of wxGTK is too old (2.4.x). Does your distribution have a 2.8.x or 2.6.x version available? If not, you might want to build the latest yourself.
