Sooper looper with Sonuus g2m guitar to midi

Let me know what you think. Has anyone worked with a midi guitar in Sooper Looper? Any suggestions about how to get over the latency problems?

I'm on a Dell ubuntu laptop. I'm from Calgary (but temporarily in Fredericton.)

The midi guitar's a lot of fun -- I may never touch my keyboard again!

Now that I have a bit more experience with the midi guitar I do prefer the keyboard for certain things. The data from the midi guitar is much more difficult to work with because it detects legato playing as pitch bends. Sometimes it gives me a note a half step above or below what I played with a pitch bend down or up a half step. This makes the midi data tough to work with.

It's great for live looping/recording, but not midi input
