Trouble after upgrading to OS X Lion

After upgrading my Macbook Pro to OSX Lion last week SooperLooper has stopped working for me. I get the following error message which I have seen pop up a few times on this forum:
Lost Connection to the SooperLooper engine
See the Preferences->Connections tab to start a new one
I have checked the ping to the local host and that works fine and my /etc/hosts file only contains
# Host Database
#
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
##
127.0.0.1 localhost
I have no idea why I am getting this error, is it something related to OSX Lion or that I have changed something myself during the setup? I'll hapily provide any more information specific to my system if needed to help me solve this issue.

Thanks in advance,

Sam

Maybe this is not specific to OS X Lion, I do get the lost connection message every once in a while on Snow Leopard.
It's not ideal, but what I do is restart the computer and mostly it's ok after that. Sometimes that's not
enough and I uninstall SL and do a fresh install. then it works.
