Finish playing then mute?

Post by crazybilly »

Is there a way tell SL to finish playing the current loop and then mute? 'play once' restarts the loop and 'mute' immediately kills the output--I'd like something in the middle, something that doesn't affect the current playback but stops playback once the end of the loop shows up.

Am I missing that feature (perhaps it's named something different and misread the documentation) or is there a better solution for what I'm looking for?

Thanks again-SL looks pretty awesome.

Well, if you set quantize to loop or cycle, and enable the "mute quantize" control. Then both mute and trigger will do what you want. But the other commands will be quantized as well, which may not be what you want.

I think that'd be fine. At this point in the game, I'm only using one loop at a time--just real simple stuff (I'm hoping to get more into serious looping later, but I'm trying not to bite off more than I chew from a musical/performance perspective).

I'll give that a try this evening--thanks for your hard work on this project!
