Crash with MainStage 3

Hi there, I am running MainStage 3 on a macOS 10.13.1 system. I keep getting a crash when recording a second loop that is synced to a parent loop, but it seems to happen most often when overdubbing that second loop. I have attached a screenshot of the settings I am using. Here is a gist of the crash...

How to have multiple song setions?

Let's say I have a song with a verse that has one chord progression and a chorus that has another. I want the freedom to loop a verse as long as I want and then transition to the chorus and have that go as long as I want. How can I make this happen in a live setting?

Thanks :]

I added this line to my /etc/hosts file:

Code: Select all

#repairing sooperlooper
127.0.0.1 gamma.local
"gamma.local" is my hostname. To figure out hour hostname, type `hostname` in your terminal.

Re: Fade Out Command

Hey Jesse! Thanks for your quick reply. Adjusting the feedback parameter is something I plan on experimenting with. I do tend to record pretty long loops as "ambient beds" that I want to fade out in 5 - 10 seconds sometimes so it won't work in these cases but it will definitely work for sh...

Fade Out Command

Hey Jesse, I recently ditched the native LoopBack plugin in MainStage in favor of SooperLooper. SooperLooper is far more stable and less glitchy than LoopBack. However, I do miss the "fade out" feature that LoopBack has. Using this feature, I could fade out all currently-recorded audio in ...

Re: SL and Sierra ?

Interesting, check out comi's solution, hopefully that won't break anything else, but it should at least get you going. Sometimes the local hostname will change, and you'll have to do this again. Until I fix this properly in the software! Hi Jesse, just wanted to update you and let you know that I ...

Re: SL and Sierra ?

Adding a line for my hostname has made it possible to load the UI for SooperLooper. I am traveling so will need to test if it is recording audio properly later. This is very encouraging!

Re: SL and Sierra ?

I, also, am unable to run SL in macOS Sierra. I would love to contribute to a fund to pay for it to be updated to work in Sierra.

Attached is a crash report that I see when running SL on my Mac: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/07ea1 ... 0d1fae585a

Re: SL and Sierra ?

I have updated to Sierra, but unfortunately SL (v 1.7.3) seems not to work properly... It's very slow to start, the GUI starts with only the two "top" lines, then (after a long waiting) all the rest appears, but says "not connected" [see attachment] (jack server is running) and ...
